No certification needed. Slip into Bishop Beach and head out toward the reef — about ten feet down. Or explore Jakalof Bay, Tutka Bay, and Sadie Cove by water taxi, depending on scheduling, conditions, and access. Joel teaches beach entry, compass navigation, and underwater navigation for snorkelers and divers alike.

Joel is a Veteran with over 30 years of service and a PADI Divemaster since 1989 — over 35 years of diving experience — based in Homer, Alaska. That military background — a lifetime of training soldiers and making sure set and setting are right — is the foundation of everything Kilted Adventures does. Most certified divers never get back in the water after their first certification. Joel is here to change that, working with lapsed divers to rebuild confidence and get them back to enjoying the sport.
